Venue: Christchurch South School, 204 Selwyn St, Spreydon, Christchurch 8024
Description: This special event with guest instructors will focus on controlling space and distance in different contexts. There will be applications for both sports karate and applied self-defence scenarios with an introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques. The dojo will be fully matted. The morning sessions are for kids 5-8 years, afternoon sessions for kids 8 years+ and adults.
Instructors:
Sensei Dieter Steinegg is a 5th Dan in Shotokan Karate, former German National Team Member and European Champion. He has 30 years of teaching experience and is also an experienced Pilates trainer.
Sensei Dan Jakes has been training in karate for over 30 years, is a 3rd Dan in Shotokan Karate and is a former New Zealand National Champion and National Team Member.
Professor Luiz Henrique is a Black Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has many years of experience and has competed at an international level. Luiz currently teachers at Axis Jiu Jitsu in Christchurch.
