The Syllabus listed here is an indication of what techniques should be demonstrated at each stage. Requirements may change slightly depending on individual students. Moving up through the grades requires demonstration of clean technique, speed and power of execution and increasing technical proficiency and understanding at each grade level. In addition to performing the required techniques, students must show dedication, effort and good character during their general training. The minimum duration of training between grades is six months for 10th - 4th kyu, and one year for 3rd - 1st kyu. Black Belt (Dan grades) are offered by invitation only.
